How to play Snake
Snake is a timeless arcade classic. You steer a constantly moving snake, and your goal is to eat the pellets that appear at random. Each pellet you eat makes the snake one segment longer, adds a point, and speeds it up slightly.
The catch: the snake never stops. You can only change its direction. The moment its head hits a wall or its own body, the game is over. The longer you get, the less room you have — and the harder it becomes.
Controls
- Desktop: ↑ ↓ ← → or W A S D; press Space to pause / resume.
- Mobile: swipe on the board, or use the on-screen D-pad.
- The snake can't instantly reverse 180° — that's a rule, and a small protection.
Tips for a higher score
- Hug the edges. Circling the border in a regular pattern makes the most of the space.
- Leave an escape route. Plan your next turn while eating so you never box yourself in.
- Slow your pace as you grow. Better to take an extra lap than to rush into your own tail.
- Fill space in a zig-zag to safely "digest" your length late in a run.
